Description

“Bambu 7” is a 100% bamboo yarn. The structure is 6 x 2 plies with a medium twist.

Although it yields the same 2100 yards per pound (ypp) as a 5/2 NeC cotton, the lower density of the yarn means that it is thicker at 24 wraps per inch (wpi) compared with 32 wpi for our Perle cotton 5/2 NeC.

The bamboo fibre is grown in a pesticide free forest and is considered eco-friendly because of the sustainable nature of the bamboo plant. The yarn lends itself to weaving cool, smooth, drapey garments, shawls or blankets. It can also be used for weaving table runners & mats, scarves, krokbragd, tapestry and more.

Also suitable for 7 gauge hand loom machine knitting, hand knitting and crochet. It also works beautifully for embroidery, braids, fringes and tassels.

The put-up is 200g on cone.
