Liina Kalalanka Cotton 20/9

Liina Kalalanka cotton yarn is made in Finland and is available in 13 shades. The yarn is suitable for weaving in the warp and weft and is also popular for crochet.
The range is supplied in 5 different weights depending on the number of plies of 20/1 (Ne cotton count) used. The dyed shades are all available in 6, 12 and 18 ply. In addition, beige and natural (raw white) are also available in 9 and 15 ply.
Made from 100% cotton it is a very strong yarn with a tight twist, making it especially suitable for rug warp. The good range of colours also makes it an excellent choice for warp for rag rugs or when the weaving is more balanced and the warp is visible. This is very useful when a coordinated or contrast in the warp is required. Even in a weft faced rug the fringe can be matched to the weft or decor.
