Description
Paper bobbins that will fit most shuttles. Because they don’t have “shoulders” they won’t snag on your warp even with a narrow shed and a thin shuttle. The outside of the bobbin is slightly textured to aid winding the yarn on.
Paper bobbins are also called “quills”.
The term “pirn” is sometimes used to describe a paper bobbin, but strictly speaking a pirn is gently tapered along its length, whereas a quill has parallel sides.

Compatibility
These fit the standard Glimåkra 62M Bobbin Winder and the GAV Glimåkra Damask Shuttle.
They fit all of our Toika shuttles, although they must be trimmed carefully to length for the Toika Small Boat Shuttle and the Toika Double Roller Shuttle 42cm.
