That’s the second scarf I have made from the same spools of Garnhuset 8/2 cotton. This time I used the Pink Salt and Dark Grey in a houndstooth pattern, but double warped.
Yes, we are now stocking Brassard Bamboo weaving yarn in 8/2 and 16/2 counts. This yarn is a rayon made from 100% bamboo. You can use it as a straight swap for our 8/2 and 16/2 mercerised cotton. Bamboo fibre has antimicrobial properties, absorbs and wicks away moisture faster than cotton and resists creasing. It’s also biodegradable.
The scarf made with Garnhuset 8/2Ne cotton is finished.

I decided to plait the fringes which took almost as long as it did to weave it!

The Gist Duet cotton-linen towels after wet finishing. I used Chambray, Pear, Pearl and Santorini, and the free pattern from our website. There was enough yarn left over for me to freestyle the plain stripes too.
