New! Valley Yarns Mercerised Cotton 10/2

The Valley Yarns Mercerised Cotton in 3/2 NeC and 5/2 NeC counts has proven to be very popular, so we added the 10/2 NeC to our line up in the full range of 46 colours.
The colours match up with the 3/2 and 5/2 cotton, so you can create some interesting structures using different counts in combination.
Price is £10 for a 100g cone.
See the full range here: Valley Yarns Mercerised Cotton 10/2.
There's also a shade card showing the colours available across all three counts: Shade Card - Valley Yarns Mercerised Cotton.

New! Valley Yarns Merino-Tencel™ 10/2

Merino wool is a natural fibre that is prized for its softness, warmth, and breathability. It is also naturally hypoallergenic and moisture-wicking. Merino fibres are so thin that when they brush up against skin they bend rather than prickle like regular sheep's wool. This makes merino ideal for weaving fabric intended to be in contact with the body.
Tencel™ is made from eucalyptus wood pulp and is known for its strength, durability, sheen and drape.
When merino and Tencel™ are blended together, they create a yarn that has the best qualities of both fibres. The yarn is soft and warm, but it is also strong, and easy to work with. The Tencel™ fibres subtly reflect light. It also has a nice drape, which makes it ideal for projects that require a fluid look and feel such as shawls and scarves.
Knitters and crocheters may recognise this yarn as "Colrain Lace".
We stock 21 colours (including natural) of this yarn in a 10/2 NeK (worsted) count. This is equivalent to a 7/2 NeC (cotton) or 11/2 Nm (metric) count and we would suggest a sett of 16EPI for plain weave.
Price is £17 for a 100g cone.
You can find the full range here: Valley Yarns Merino-Tencel™ 10/2.

How to use the Wishlist

We're getting close to that time of year again and some people need to be given a pretty heavy hint about gift ideas. Did you know that there is a Wishlist feature on our website that allows you to create a list of yarns and then send a link to somebody as a gift suggestion? You don't need to be logged in or even have an account to do this, just click or tap on the "Add to wishlist" link you see under each of our yarns.
Once your list is complete click or tap on the Wishlist link at the top of the page to see the complete list. Down at the bottom you will see a Wishlist link with a "Copy" button - send this link to a friend and they can order for you!
If you are a guild or society member and want to make a bulk purchase for your group to save on delivery, you can get other members to send you their Wishlists and then add them to a single order.

Back in stock notifications

We recently added a new feature to the website, back in stock notifications. If a yarn is out of stock - we're sorry, but it does happen sometimes - click or tap on the image to see the full product details, and you will see a new box "Email me when it's back in stock". Just add your details and click submit.
You will receive an email asking you to confirm that you want to be notified, make sure that you confirm this. We get a message too, telling us how much demand there is for an out of stock yarn, so we can make sure that we order extra in!
As soon as the yarn is back in stock you will receive an email telling you that it is available, together with a link to order it.
We hope that you find this useful - and we promise to do our best to keep the yarns in stock!

New Suomen Lanka cotton string yarn colours

The Liina Kalalanka and Molla Mills yarns are popular with weavers and crocheters alike. We have added this year's new colours to our selection:
• Molla cotton twine PANSY (NO 36) (Available in 6, 12 and 18 ply)
• Liina cotton twine POPSICLE (NO 101) (Available in 12 and 18 ply)
• Liina cotton twine VIVA MAGENTA (NO 102) (Available in 12 and 18 ply)
